Our agent

kya-emissary is a commerce agent operated by kya labs. Directed by a person or by one of our API customers' applications, it performs bounded shopping tasks on retail websites — checking product availability, reading prices, and assembling baskets. It also performs scheduled site-conformance measurement for our Agent Observatory, which reports how sites respond to AI shopping agents. Every session is scoped to a single task and bounded by hard turn and cost budgets.

The agent identifies itself honestly. Signed traffic carries the user-agent below and is cryptographically attributable to us via Web Bot Auth (HTTP Message Signatures), so site operators can verify that a request claiming to be kya-emissary actually came from kya labs. Signed traffic respects robots.txt directives, keeps request rates low — typically under a few hundred requests per site per day — and never attempts to evade bot detection.
